You don’t need us to tell you that times are tough, with people all the more careful with their money. But after a rough few months with lots of hen parties and weddings postponed, people are also in the mood to P.A.R.T.Y. So how can have a good time, without breaking the bank? Here’s our guide on how to plan hen party on a budget…..

Save on travel & accommodation costs and keep things local. We have some great value hen party packages in London – all of which have activities and dining experiences a short distance from each other, so you aren’t adding huge taxi costs to the budget.

Everyone loves a hen party theme, but spending heaps on costumes & accessories can really bump up the budget. Keep it simple with themes that will look great, but you’ll already have in your wardrobe – dress codes like “Fancy Florals” (chic floral prints), “Ibiza White” (head to toe in summery white) or “Glitterati” (glam glitter and sequins galore) work really well. Check out our Pinterest for more dress code and theme inspo.

If you are on a super tight budget but want super chic private dining with masses of champagne……it’s not gonna happen. Be flexible and open to alternative options so you get as close to possible to the hen party you want, whilst keeping to your budget. Bottomless brunches are a great alternative to a three-course dinner as you get much more for your money, whilst still being able to enjoy gorgeous restaurants and private dining rooms.

Bringing a “DIY” element to proceedings will save money, whilst also brings a personal touch to the party. Make your own decorations (Pinterest is fab for ideas), use a free photo printing app to and use the pics to create bunting, or use Canva to design free invitations, menus and itineraries. Get the whole party involved, as even if you aren’t creative, some of the group are bound to be.

Admittedly we’re a touch biased, but leave it to the experts. We’ll take your budget and ideas and instantly be able to put together something amazing – we know all the hidden gems, and the great value options. We’ll save you time, money, and lots of stress. What more could you want?!

Ultimately, hen parties are about celebrating the bride-to-be, and she wouldn’t want her friends and family to be stressing about mounting costs. Times are especially hard, so be understanding of people’s situations, plan a party where guests can opt to attend certain parts of the day/weekend.

It seems 2020 is the year of staying in, so why not embrace that and keep things understated with a sleepover. We’ve held amazing hen party sleepovers in the gorgeous 5* apartments at Town Hall (which are also really reasonable). Or you could even hold it at home, and let the hen party come to you. You could make flower crowns, have spa treatments, or have one of our private chefs cook you dinner, all from the comfort of your own living room. Pyjama’s, the brides fave films, hen party games and lashings of wine… that’s a party.

CLUCK make hen party planning on a budget a breeze – we’ve been working away to create jam-packed hen party packages for under £100, and can offer payment plans to make costs more manageable.
