HOW TO PLAN A HEN PARTY

 CLUCK’S HEN PARTY CHECKLIST

If you’ve never planned a hen do before it can be quite overwhelming! The key is planning ahead and staying organised, with our hen party checklist you’ll be sure to nail it ?

6-12 MONTHS BEFORE ✔️

We can’t stress enough how hen party planning is soooo much easier if you plan ahead! Stop pushing it to the bottom of your to do list, leave yourself plenty of time to book the date in and invite the brides guestlist. It can be a nightmare getting a date that the whole group are available (particularly for larger groups) and the longer you leave it the more stressful it becomes. You don’t want the drama of a friend or relative (or the bride) being upset because they can’t make it on the chose date.

There’s nothing wrong with getting organised early and asking everyone to get the date in their diary, with further info to follow later down the line. Check with the bride for a selection of preferable dates then send out a watsapp or email and get it booked in!

4-8 MONTHS BEFORE ✔️

Now you have a date you can spend a little time thinking about what you want to. We recommend getting everything booked in at least 4-8 months before so you aren’t restricted by availability. If you are booking a hen party house we recommend even longer, these get booked up month/years in advance.

Our favourite packages can start getting booked up on popular dates months in advance

Another reason to plan ahead is to give people a chance to sort finances. CLUCK offer payday payment plans, so you can split the cost into bite-sized payments and spread across paydays.

2-3 MONTHS BEFORE ✔️

If you’re having a theme or dress code get in everyone’s good books and give them plenty of time to plan and order any costumes or props!

1-2 MONTHS BEFORE ✔️

Make sure any travel is booked, and that you have everything sorted with enough time to sort any potential issues. If there are rooming lists or pre-orders required at the venues, send these out to the group so you have enough time (there are always a few guests that delay things!)

Now is also the time to delegate guests to help with hen party games, décor etc. Share the load and allow other people to get involved so the bride feels all her friend and family have had an input!

If you’re staying in a house you might also want to think about planning your food and drink order.

1 WEEK BEFORE ✔️

Make sure you have all the info, timings, addresses, tickets, contact numbers etc you need in one place on your phone for the day. You don’t want to be scrolling through emails on the day, make it as stress free for yourself as possible!

Then all that’s left is to have the BEST. HEN. EVER!
